How can you hide unsightly pipes?
Our pre-formed and pre-finished pipe boxing solutions can be used to hide unsightly pipes while still giving you easy access to them should you need it.
What should I use to box in pipes?
There is no quicker, easier or more cost-effective method of concealing pipework, flues, fire-sprinkler pipework and other building services than with our pre-formed and pre-finished pipe boxing solutions.
How do you box in pipes?
The best way to box in pipes is typically using our pre-formed and pre-finished pipe boxing, along with 2 timber fixing battens are used, either on both walls for vertical applications or on the floor and wall for horizontal applications. These are secured to the walls/floor with screws and plugs with the boxing’s then fixed securely to the battens with screws and white caps.
Are the measurements of the pipe boxings you sell internal or external measurements?
The pipe boxing measurements are always external sizes.
 
You need to allow 5mm or 8mm for the thickness of the material, plus some additional space for a fixing batten, possibly a further 30mm or 35mm.
What is the colour of your pipe boxing product?
Pipe boxings are finished with a white, resin impregnated paper and boiler casings have a white laminate finish.
How do I fix the pipe boxing in place?
Typically 2 timber fixing battens are used, either on both walls for vertical applications or on the floor and wall for horizontal applications. These are secured to the walls/floor with screws and plugs with the boxing’s then fixed securely to the battens with screws and white caps.
Do your pipe boxing products come with battens and fixings as standard?
No, the timber fixing battens, screws, and caps are purchased separately.

How do I cut the pipe boxing to the length I need?
Apply masking tape to the pipe boxing at the point you want to cut. The masking tape will reduce any surface damage when cutting. Cut through the pipe boxing with a sharp fine tooth saw and lightly sand the cut end to achieve a neat finish.
Is there a minimum delivery charge on orders?

How will my order be delivered?
Your order will be delivered by our courier Tuffnell’s or APC. Please note a signature will be required otherwise the driver will not be able to leave the goods. When should I expect my order to be delivered?
You should receive your order within 1-3 working days for standard items and 5-7 working days for bespoke made to order products. If you need to talk to us at all about your delivery please get in touch.
